An 11-year-old boy has died after being hit by a bus while riding his bicycle on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.
Emergency services were called to reports of a bus driving on Jingellic Dr, near Karawatha Dr, in Buderim, hitting a cyclist at around 3.45pm on Tuesday.
The boy was taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Queensland Police confirmed the boy has since died in hospital.
The Forensic Crash Unit is currently investigating the crash.
The CDC bus driver, a 60-year-old manager, was not physically injured and is assisting police with the investigation.

Another person was also taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
It appears the man was a passenger on the bus.
Witnesses or people with relevant information are urgently requested to contact the police.
Bus company CDC has been contacted for comment.
