BTS member Jin was seen in a social media photo Monday as he prepared to embark on his military training.

Jin, who turned 30 on December 4, is scheduled to begin his military training on Tuesday, as South Korean law requires able-bodied men to serve in the military for 18 to 21 months.

Jin, who is the first singer of the band to start his military service, said about the new hairstyle in the Korean Weverse App‘Prettier than I thought’.

The latest: BTS member Jin was seen in a social media photo on Monday as he prepared to embark on his military training.

Sungdeuk Son, who is the director of musical performance for the popular boy band, posted the image on Instagram. He captioned the shot: “I hope you have a healthy journey and may it be a precious time in your life.”

The group’s label, Big Hit Music, asked fans not to visit Jin in a post on Weverse, saying they will update fans on how he’s doing while he’s away.

“Jin will fulfill his required time with the military by enlisting in the military,” the company said. “Keep in mind that we won’t be holding any kind of official event on the day of his recruitment.”

He continued: ‘The entrance ceremony is a time to be observed only by military personnel and their families. In order to avoid any issues that may occur due to overcrowding, we ask fans to refrain from visiting the site. Instead, we ask that you keep his touching words of support and farewell in your hearts.’

Jin was seen promoting the band’s Butter in Seoul, South Korea in May 2021.

The popular boy band was photographed at the American Music Awards last year in Los Angeles.

“We ask for your continued love and support for Jin until he is discharged from the military and returns. Our company will also strive to provide him with all the support he needs during this time.”

In October, the group said in a statement that both the label and “the company and BTS members hope to reunite as a group around 2025 following their service commitment.”

On Tuesday, Jin was in a convoy of vehicles taking him to a South Korean army training camp in Yeoncheon, South Korea, which is close to the demilitarized zone.
