Brzezinski blasts Biden’s STAFF because it makes him look old

MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski blames 80-year-old Biden’s staff for looking old: argues his aides should keep him from falling over and keep his schedule in check

  • Mika Brzezinski of Morning Joe shot President Joe Biden’s staff on Wednesday
  • She blamed them for not simplifying his schedule and keeping him from falling
  • “I don’t think they help the president very well,” she said

MSNBC’s Morning Joe co-host Mika Brzezinski said Wednesday that President Joe Biden’s staff “should own his age” and accused them of not simplifying his schedule and making sure he didn’t fall.

As Biden builds his 2024 re-election bid, Brzezinski and co-host Joe Scarborough discussed another president whose age was an issue — the late President Ronald Reagan, who successfully won a second term.

Scarborough pointed out that Reagan’s staff – who was nearly 78 when he left the White House – “managed his schedule very carefully.”

That made Brzezinski angry about Biden’s staff.

“I’ll be honest, I don’t think they serve the president very well,” she said.

“I’m just saying that if you manage a president’s agenda, and you manage a president who gets on stage and comes off stage and gets on planes and gets off planes — and yes, he’s 80 — you have to be there for him. are,’ she continued.

“And you have to make a path and you better make sure it doesn’t fall on a sandbag,” she added. “And I blame the staff,” Brzezinski said.

In June, the president tripped over a sandbag left on stage during a commencement ceremony for the US Air Force Academy in Colorado.

He later joked that he was “thrown in sandbags.”

The trip followed him up the steps of Air Force One several times.

Biden also got his foot caught in a toe trap and fell sideways off his bike at Rehoboth Beach last June.

“There are things that are going to hurt him,” Brzezinski continued. “These are things that play in a loop, okay?

“Let him do his job, let him give his speeches, let him work on policy, let him do his connections in Congress like no president we’ve seen, I don’t know, since Clinton,” she said. “But my God, make sure you know—you’re Secret Service, you’re his staff—that you’re there and tell him what’s going to happen.”

She added that viewers of the show shouldn’t take this as “oh, he can’t get from one place to another.”

“If you’re busy and you’re on stage, and we’ve been on stage, I’ve done speeches and I’m so nervous, I’m doing the speech, I’m trying to do it right, and when it’s done, I don’t know which way to go and I’m looking for direction,” recalls the 56-year-old presenter.

Brzezinski said his staff “needed to do better.”

“Because you can’t have this video footage of the president stumbling or the president going the wrong way,” she said. It’s not going to work in this presidency because his age will be a factor. His age will be a factor and it’s your job to make sure he gets from one place to another.’

She argued that Biden “can handle the presidency.”

“You have to consider his schedule and where he’s going,” she said.
