Bryson DeChambeau tells Kai Trump what he’d do in space
Bryson DeChambeau already knows what his first steps would be if he ever left Earth’s orbit.
The LIV Golf star joined newly elected President Donald Trump and Elon Musk at the launch of the sixth test flight of the SpaceX Starship rocket last week and made a cameo in Kai Trump’s YouTube vlog.
Standing next to the future 47th president’s granddaughter as they watched the rocket launch, the professional golfer shared his desire to go into space and revealed what he would do if he ever did.
“I want to do that so bad,” DeChambeau declared as he gestured off-camera toward the launch pad. “I would literally cry for a few hours if I was up there looking at the Earth.”
While the player’s first steps into space wouldn’t be as productive, DeChambeau also revealed ambitious intentions for his own engineering experiments.
He told Kai about the bright idea for her own invention, before explaining how it could improve her golf game.

The professional golfer told Donald Trump’s daughter what he would do in space
“I will design a rocket golf club with boosters on the back so you increase the speed of your club head,” he claimed, before adding, “Just for you.”
‘Just for me, yes? I’ll need it. Wow, that hurt,” Kai joked back, jokingly taking offense to DeChambeau’s suggestion that her clubhead speed could use some improvement.
Last Wednesday, DeChambeau posted his own video of the launch, capturing his reaction as the rocket launched from the surface.
“I have never been more inspired #spacex,” he wrote
In the clip, the two-time US Open champion wowed as he sang, “Come on, baby.”
After DeChambeau’s opening chant and clap, the camera then focused on the rocket taking off.
As the rocket lifted further from the ground, the camera panned back to a close-up shot of DeChambeau staring up at the sky, his jaw moving in the opposite direction of the shuttle.
As DeChambeau’s jaw dropped and marveled at the sight of the launch, US President-elect Trump could be seen standing a few feet behind him, wearing a Make America Great Again hat.

The pair’s relationship goes far, as they regularly hit the golf course together and Trump went viral a few months before the election thanks to DeChambeau and a cameo on his YouTube channel.
Moreover, DeChambeau not only attended Trump’s election party, but the soon-to-be 47th president called him on stage during his victory speech.
DeChambeau’s awe at this achievement is no surprise, given his self-proclaimed love of physics. His fascination led to the nickname ‘The Mad Scientist.’
He is known for his scientific approach to the game of golf, making headlines earlier this year with his 3D printed irons at The Masters in April.
He is also known for soaking his golf balls in Epsom salt to get them spinning properly and for keeping his club shafts all the same length: 37.5 inches, which is the length of a traditional 7-iron.
