Phillies star Bryce Harper made a surprise appearance at a recent wedding proposal, leaving one fan stunned.
Harper was captured video walking to the doorstep with a high school student named Jake Portello, a senior at Haddonfield Memorial High School, before his hopeful date walked out to see the MLB player in front of her.
Harper exclaimed, “Hi Julia!” to the girl before saying right back, “I’m going to cry.”
The teen covered her mouth in shock as Harper said on behalf of his companion, “Jake wants to ask you to the prom…”.
Julia was still speechless before Harper asked again, “Are you going to the ball with him?”

Julia then gave Jake a hug as Phillies star Harper looked on with a smile on his face

Harper then shook hands with what appeared to be Julia’s father, while Julia and Jake shared a hug.
Harper is hitting .273 with 10 home runs in 43 games this season.
