Bryan Adams’ mic is seized by wild-eyed concert goer who screeches line from Summer of ’69

Footage shows a crazed fan rushing on stage to sing along with a performing Bryan Adams before being pushed off stage by the rocker’s security.

The unapproved feature took place during Adams’ recent concert in Salt Lake City, as the Canadian crooner attempted to sing the opening bars of his seminal rock ballad Summer of ’69.

As 63-year-old Adams sits back to catch his breath, the over-enthusiastic admirer is seen within a few feet of the musician, with no security.

The man – wearing black ripped jeans and a white T-shirt – then takes the microphone before continuing the song himself in a mangled warble. Before being apprehended, the concert crasher was able to utter the lyrics “bought it for five and a dime.”

Despite being unplanned, the incident left Adams — who seemed stunned but unfazed by the interruption — still pulling out his iconic line “Was the summer of ’69,” apparently completely indifferent to the break-in.

The impressively timed moment, which took place during Adams’ July 7 stop on his So Happy It Hurts Tour, lasted only a few seconds but quickly went viral after clips circulated online.

It caused the #BryanAdams hashtag to briefly trend on Twitter in the singer’s native Canada after thousands of attendees joined Adams after the fan disappeared from view.

At that point, Adams – a consummate professional – steps back to the microphone and proceeds to sing the subsequent lyrics. Several onlookers on social media praised the singer for doing this without missing a beat.

“Bryan Adams picks up where the drunk man ran onto the stage,” wrote one user, who has now shared a viral video of the much-seen encounter.

Another praised: “That’s how an entertainer deals with moments like that!”

“Zero beats skipped,” someone else commented.

“Now that’s an advantage!” added another person, before noting how “the drummer caught it perfectly too.”

Some expressed similar satisfaction with how the I Do It For You singer handled the situation – while others disapproved of his security staff for letting it happen in the first place.

‘Well that is [sic] a professional,” wrote user. “However, security should be fired.”

Someone else snapped, “Terrible security… Adams is a national treasure. He was in danger. Not cool.’

Others admitted that the fan — yet to be named — had some surprising vocal chops despite appearing slightly intoxicated.

“The drunkard was pretty good,” one simply wrote.

As for Adams – who will continue his tour in Phoenix later this month – he also made light of the incident with a few joking posts on social media.

‘Stage Crashing NOT recommended!’ he wrote on Twitter, where thousands re-shared clips of the strange scene.

Shortly afterwards, the artist wrote in another post on Instagram, “Sometimes you just have to laugh…” while sharing footage of the incident.

In the caption, the artist coyly posted the hashtags #stagecrasher #summerof69.”

The incident comes amid a spike in bad behavior at concerts in recent months.

Last month, popular New York pop artist Bebe Rexha, 33, was punched in the face with a cell phone, resulting in the arrest of a man and the singer receiving stitches in her native New York.

Later in the month, a man punched and scratched pop star Ava Max, 29, as she performed, overpowering security to do so. He was later banned for life from attending any more of the artist’s shows.

The incident comes amid a spike in bad behavior at concerts in recent months. Harry Styles was the most recent victim, pelted by a thrown object while on stage in Vienna for his Love on Tour. Other victims include Taylor Swift, Lil Nas X and Bebe Rexha

Earlier this month, 29-year-old country singer Kelsea Ballerini was the victim of a similar incident. While singing her song “If You Go Down” in Boise, Idaho when she was hit in the eye by a bracelet.

A few days later, a fan threw a sex toy at Lil Nas X at Lollapalooza Stockholm in Sweden.

The hurled object, in that case, was an anatomical replica of the female anatomy, and afterwards saw the rapper jokingly tweak his Twitter handle to “p***y” the next day.

Then, last week, video surfaced of Taylor Swift dodging armbands hurled by fans at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.

In that case, the singer’s security kept a grip on the situation.

Harry Styles, meanwhile, was the most recent victim of the bad behavior, being pelted by a thrown object while on stage in Vienna at his Love on Tour concert.

In that case, the former One Direction member was hit by an unknown object launched at his eye.

As for the cheeky concertgoer seen on Adams’ show, he has yet to be identified.
