The panel’s newest addition, 67, pressed his red buzzer after opting not to forward a contestant, breaking the show’s protocols in which judges usually press it during a performance.
The wacky audition Mikko Rautiainen left the audience in disgust when he took a recorder and stuck it up his nose to play some tunes.
The former Strictly star said in his feedback, “Well it’s definitely original and your nose will be perfectly clean, but it’s a no from me.”
But when he pressed his buzzer, Simon interjected, “You don’t have to. You can just say no!’

A surprised Bruno replied, ‘I don’t have to do that, do I? Oh sorry,’ snapped Simon, ‘have you ever seen this show?’
It’s no secret that Bruno hasn’t, as he said before: ‘I told Simon I’ve never seen the show before. But I never watch anything I’m in, I’ve never even watched Strictly or Dancing With the Stars.’
At another point in the episode, things spiraled into chaos when Bruno pressed his golden buzzer midway through an act.
He made his debut on the ITV talent show alongside Simon, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon where he soon found himself stuck in enjoying the entertainment on offer.
The disastrous Italian got into trouble when he excitedly pressed his golden buzzer for Ugandan dance act Ghetto Kids before they finished their performance.
While it is customary for the judges or presenters Ant and Dec to press this button after the performance, the talented orphans were showered with gold confetti as they danced on stage.
The group, while elated by the golden buzzer, plowed through the performance and put on a great show – despite barely being able to see through the confetti.
The jaw-dropping moment left both the audience and Bruno’s fellow judges in shock, with Simon stating that this had ‘never happened before’.

Watching the scenes unfold at home, viewers were quick to react to Bruno’s blunder, with many stating that they loved the chaos he brought to the show.
‘I’m glad Bruno pressed his buzzer when he did that, that was too funny!!’ one person noted.
“That was such a great golden buzzer moment. Bruno turns out to be a mess, but I actually kind of like it,” commented another.
A third tweeted, “Bruno’s mishaps brought #BGT back to life by randomly pressing buzzers, love him.”
It’s what happens when you assume the new judge has seen the show before. Didn’t hire him because he’s a fan and Bruno broke all the rules. LOVE it’ said a fourth.

After his blunder, Chief Judge Simon was quick to explain that this was not the way things were done, leading a flushed Bruno to remark, “Oh sorry, I got it wrong!”
While Ant McPartlin joked backstage, “Someone didn’t explain the rules of Britain’s Got Talent to him.”
