Bruno Fernandes says that Gabby Agbonlahor’s criticisms of Manchester United are ‘not something that worries him’.

On Agbonlahor’s brutal remarks, Fernandes told ELEVEN: ‘It’s honestly not something that worries me too much. He’s never played with me, he doesn’t know how I am. 

‘Just yesterday I told my wife, who spoke to me about this interview and I said “You know what calms me down?”

‘Just two days ago a person called Juan Mata, world champion, European champion, winner of the Champions League, all in England, said to me: “You were the best people I’ve met in football, continue like that, being yourself, with that honesty , this ability to work”.

After United’s 4-0 loss to Brentford, Agbonlahor told talkSPORT: ‘This is not Manchester United. If I was them now after this game I’d be thinking, “You know what, ten Hag, just pack up”. He’s had pre-season and they have started the season as a shambles, they’re like strangers on the pitch. 

‘They’re just not good enough. It’s a shambles kit, shambles club at the moment. 

‘I’ve been hammering United and people are saying I’ve got an agenda against Manchester United – no, I’m speaking facts that real Manchester United fans will agree with.’

Fernandes says Agbonlahor has ‘never played with me, he doesn’t know how I am’ 

Fernandes also spoke on United’s rocky opening to their Premier League campaign. He said: ‘It’s been a difficult start, nobody is prepared to start like that at this club. But there is no better game to give an answer, for us and for our ambitions.
