Bruised Jeremy Renner posts video from his ICU bed

Marvel star Jeremy Renner posted a video from his bed in ICU on Thursday as he continues to recover from a devastating snowplow accident.

Renner, 51, was bruised under his eye in the video and appeared sedated as his sister massaged his scalp, joking, “You’re so sexy.”

The Hawkeye actor slurred his words as he replied that it was his first shower and that he’s “definitely weak or something.” Rough.’

She captioned the video: ‘A ‘not very good’ day in ICU turned into an amazing spa day with my sister and mom. Thank you.’

Renner was struck by a seven-ton snowplow on New Year’s Day while working to free a trapped family member from the foot of snow covering their Lake Tahoe home.

He has remained in the Intensive Care Unit ever since.

Authorities said Renner tried to use his 14,330-pound snowplow to help free a family member with a personal vehicle that was stuck in the snow.

The actor got out of the vehicle to speak with the unidentified family member, during which time, Washoe County Sheriff Darin Balaam said, “The PistenBully was observed [snow plow] it was starting to roll.

He tried to get back into the vehicle but was soon run over, Balaam said at a news conference Tuesday afternoon.

A 911 call made later indicates that the right side of the actor’s chest collapsed and his upper torso was crushed.

The emergency record, obtained by TMZhe also included accident notes stating that Renner could be heard moaning in the background of the call and that he was experiencing heavy bleeding to his head and other injuries.

Injuries to his chest and torso were reportedly making it difficult for the Marvel star to breathe before he was airlifted to a nearby hospital from the scene of the crash around 10 a.m. Sunday morning near his home. in the Reno area.

Renner had previously posted a photo from his hospital bed thanking supporters.

Neighbors had tried to help Renner immediately afterward, the sheriff said, coming out with towels and giving him first aid, but none of them were doctors.

Balaam added that police do not suspect foul play, nor does he suspect that Renner was in any way affected at the time.

The Sheriff’s department is investigating the accident and has the snowplow in their possession.

Two neighbors said he had surgery at Renown Regional Medical Center, known as the best hospital in Northern Nevada with the best orthopedic specialists.

The source added that conditions were extreme this weekend at his $3.25 million home near Mount Rose Highway near the city of Reno.

‘Two days ago [the snow] it was a meter and a half deep, their workers had to walk inside,’ they said. They have no electricity since Saturday at 4 pm.

TMZ has previously reported that the safety features on Renner’s snowcat failed, causing it to roll onto Renner’s leg, about a quarter mile from his home. The machine was built by the German manufacturer Kassbohrer.

Renner is best known for his role as Hawkeye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The snow cat is currently in the possession of the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office.

He is loved by fans across the country, and especially by Washoe County kids who have watched the celebrity in the area for years and when he takes part in local events.

He earned back-to-back Oscar nominations for The Hurt Locker in 2010 and The Town in 2011. His portrayal of a bomb disposal specialist in Iraq in The Hurt Locker helped make him a household name.

2012’s The Avengers cemented him as part of Marvel’s larger storytelling ambitions, with his character appearing in several sequels and getting his own Disney+ series, Hawkeye.
