Bruins player Milan Lucic has reportedly been arrested on domestic violence charges.
The Bruins said Saturday that Lucic would take an indefinite leave of absence.
‘We are aware of the situation surrounding Milan Lucic. Milan is taking an indefinite leave of absence from the team,” the team said in a statement.
The team added: ‘The organization takes these matters very seriously and we will work with the Lucic family to provide any support and assistance they need. We will have no further comment at this time.”
According to WCVB TVhe was arrested in Boston on Saturday morning.

Lucic has played more than 1,300 NHL games in his career with the Bruins, Kings, Oilers and Flames
Boston police said they could not confirm or deny Lucic’s arrest early Saturday morning.
A message sent to Lucic’s agent was not immediately returned.
Lucic, 35, is a veteran of more than 1,300 NHL games with the Bruins, Los Angeles Kings, Edmonton Oilers and Calgary Flames.
He won the Stanley Cup with Boston in 2011 and is back with the team after signing a one-year free agent contract worth $1 million last summer, with $500,000 in potential additional incentives.
The Bruins, who host Montreal on Saturday night, said they would have no further comment.
Coach Jim Montgomery reiterated that after the team’s morning skate, saying he had not spoken to Lucic and would not discuss further details out of respect for privacy.
