Bruce Willis’ wife Emma Heming shared touching photos of their daughters Mabel, 12, and Evelyn, 10, celebrating the Fourth of July.
The 69-year-old actor’s family has been standing by him as he declines from dementia, including his first wife Demi Moore and their adult daughters.
Emma has now posted a sweet Instagram album showing how, despite all the trials and tribulations their family has faced, their daughters have still enjoyed this week’s holiday.
Emma, 46, and her daughters wore cowboy hats as they posed against a farm fence, with a picturesque sunset behind pine trees and mountains in the background.
Apparently Evelyn wanted to wear cowboy boots, but didn’t have a pair handy, so she decided to wear snow boots.

“Happy 4th of July!” Emma wrote in her caption, playfully adding, “*and if you don’t have cowboy boots, just wear your snow boots, that’s fine.”
Her album included a video of her children sitting on the side of the street watching a patriotic parade of horseback riders carrying American flags.
The post came exactly a week after Emma celebrated her 46th birthday and remembered how Bruce pampered her for the occasion.
She posted an Instagram montage of photos from previous birthdays, including snaps of Bruce taking her and their daughters to an amusement park and the beach.
“Bruce would call it my ‘birthday month,'” she wrote in her caption. “So we should celebrate! I’m blessed and thankful to have family and friends (in this video and from afar) who made it so special for me this entire month.”
She ended her post on an optimistic note, adding, “There are still a few days of June left and I’m going to see this through to the end!”
Bruce retired from Hollywood in 2022 due to his battle with the brain disease aphasia, which causes the patient’s ability to speak to a person to deteriorate.
Last year, his family announced that his illness had “worsened” and he had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD).

Glenn Gordon Caron, creator of Bruce’s hit 1980s sitcom Moonlighting, visited him and noted that he was losing his “joie de vivre” and “language skills.”
“My gut feeling is that he’ll know who I am within one to three minutes,” Glenn said in a devastating interview with Page Six.
“He’s not really a chatterbox. He used to read a lot – he didn’t want anyone to know – and now he doesn’t read anymore.”
Bruce is surrounded by family, including his first wife Demi Moore and their daughters Rumer, 35, Scout, 32, and Tallulah, 30.
Rumer now has a one-year-old daughter of her own, named Louetta. Together with her boyfriend Derek Richard Thomas, she welcomed her in April 2023.
