Bruce Willis was spotted sitting in the passenger seat of his car as he was taken for a drive through sunny Los Angeles this week amid his battle with dementia.
He retired from Hollywood in 2022 after being diagnosed with the brain condition aphasia, which causes the patient’s language skills to deteriorate.
Last year, his family announced that his illness had “worsened” and that he had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD).
The 69-year-old was spotted this week driving through Studio City, which has become known as an enclave for those working in the entertainment sector.
The Die Hard icon wore a striped polo shirt with a blue collar and fended off the California rays with a black baseball cap.

Bruce is surrounded by his close-knit blended family, who have rallied around him to help him cope with his health issues.
He has been married to model Emma Heming, 46, since 2009, with whom he shares his two youngest daughters Mabel, 12, and Evelyn, 10.
The Red star is also friendly with his ex-wife Demi Moore, the mother of his three eldest daughters Rumer, 36, Scout, 33, and Tallulah, 30.
Over the weekend, Demi shared an update on Bruce’s condition while speaking onstage at the 2024 Hamptons International Film Festival.
“You know, I’ve said this before. The disease is what the disease is. And I think you have to have a deep acceptance of what that is. But where he is now, he is stable,” Demi said in a conversation with moderator Alina Cho. People.
Demi had seen Bruce two days prior to her appearance at the film festival, when he enjoyed a visit with Rumer’s daughter Louetta, his first grandchild.
She makes it a point to find quality time with Bruce, adhering to the idea of ”being able to share everything we have, however long we have.”
