Bruce Springsteen, 73, takes a big fall on stage as worried employees rush in to help The Boss to his feet

Bruce Springsteen unintentionally made his Amsterdam show fans won’t soon forget after he made a big hit on stage.

The I’m On Fire singer, 73, gasped from fans as he tripped and fell after climbing several steps on stage on Saturday.

Fans watched The Boss roll onto his back and lay on the floor with his guitar still in hand before his concerned colleagues promptly ran over to help him.

His guitarist stepped in to remove his instrument while two concert staff manually lifted Bruce back onto his feet.

Fortunately, the fall didn’t shake Bruce too much.

Assuaging any concerns his fans may have, Bruce, who is currently on a world tour, gave a quick smile before addressing the audience.

‘Good night everyone!’ he yelled into the microphone as he threw his hand in the air and started a new song.

Bruce is traveling the world for his latest tour, Springsteen and E Street Band 2023 Tour.

His tour consists of 37 shows in 32 locations. His next stops are in Landgraaf, the Netherlands, Zurich, Switzerland and Birmingham, UK.

It comes after Bruce faced fierce criticism last month for continuing his concert in the disaster-stricken Italian region of Emilia-Romagna.

Rescue crews desperately tried to reach towns and villages in northern Italy still isolated by torrential rains and flooding as authorities began mapping out clean-up and rebuilding plans.

The extreme weather behind the disaster – a prolonged drought interrupted by 36 hours of intense rainfall two weeks after another downpour – led to two dozen rivers and tributaries bursting their banks.

The force of the water sent mudslides through entire cities in Emilia-Romagna, flooding storefronts and cellars.

Ferrara’s mayor, Alan Fabbri, wrote on Facebook: ‘I’m sorry if anyone thought Ferrara was insensitive to the Romagna tragedy just because ‘The Boss’ concert wasn’t cancelled.

But ‘The Boss’ refused to cancel his performance, which took place on May 18 in the city of Ferrara, about 50 kilometers from the epicenter of the catastrophe.

Up to 50,000 fans were scheduled to attend the concert, but widespread flooding prevented many from making it.

A city councilor described Springsteen’s decision to continue performing as an insult to the “pain, despair and hardship” of those affected, while Italian TV presenter Tiziana Ferrario tweeted: “I love Bruce Springsteen, but given the victims and the cities submerged in the mud. , the concert in Ferrara seems fake.

‘Once [upon a time] you would shovel and help those buried in the mud, instead of mindlessly singing and dancing in the same area.’

Countless people have died in the region as a result of the floods.
