Two passengers were taken to hospital in critical condition after a pile-up on a highway.
Two trucks and a car collided on the Bruce Highway near Bloomsbury, between Mackay and Proserpine in north Queensland, at around 3pm on Thursday.
Queensland Police confirmed the highway was closed in both directions as emergency services rushed to the scene of the crash.
Two rescue helicopters have been deployed to treat four people injured in the crash.

Queensland Ambulance confirmed a man in his 20s was trapped in the wreckage for “some time” and suffered life-threatening injuries to his head and arm.
Another man in his seventies suffered life-threatening head injuries,
Two others are in stable condition.
Traffic is being diverted via Kinnears Road, but for light vehicles only. Extensive delays are expected and commuters are being asked to use alternative routes.
The police and fire department are also on the scene. One or more vehicles have overturned in the collision.
