Browns Plains: Six people injured and taken to hospital after four car pile-up

Two children were among six patients rushed to hospital after a horrific four-car crash south of Brisbane.

Emergency services were called to the scene of the crash on Browns Plains Road in the Browns Plains suburb of Logan shortly after 9.30am on Thursday.

Paramedics examined eight patients at the scene.

Six patients, including two children, were transported to Logan Hospital. All are in stable condition.

The two other patients refused hospitalization, an ambulance spokeswoman said.

It was a busy morning for paramedics in Queensland after they were called to a spate of accidents in the state’s south-east.

They include a serious crash involving a car and a truck at Mount Tamborine in the Gold Coast hinterland.

One of the injured passengers was trapped in the wreckage and had to be freed by the fire brigade.

Two patients were transported to Gold Coast University Hospital.

One is in stable condition, while the other is in serious but stable condition.
