Browns running back Nick Chubb has been carted off the field after suffering a terrible-looking leg injury in the second quarter of Monday night’s game against the Steelers.
The 27-year-old screamed in pain after colliding with Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick on Cleveland’s first-and-goal play with 14:26 left before halftime, with Pittsburgh leading 7-3 at the time.
Fans in Pittsburgh reacted with groans to the replays shown on the big screen at Acrisure Stadium, as footage showed Chubb’s legs bending awkwardly beneath him as they were tackled by Fitzpatrick.
What’s more is that toward the end of his five-yard run, Chubb’s left knee appeared almost entirely at a right angle.
After the play, a teammate grabbed Chubb’s hand to try to help him up, but Chubb shook his head while holding his left knee. He loosened his chin strap and rolled onto his side.

Like the previous injury, Monday night’s was difficult to watch, and ESPN refused to show replays of the play where he was hurt.
Chubb remained on the ground for several minutes while he was treated by the Browns’ medical staff before being escorted off the field in a cart.
