After returning to training earlier this week, Myles Garrett will play against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, less than two weeks after being injured in a horrific car accident.
“Good to go,” head coach Kevin Stefanski said Friday, after Garrett was removed from the injury report. “I love that he’s back.”
Garrett flipped his Porsche on Sept. 26, resulting in a sprained shoulder, strained biceps, cuts, bruises and a broken blood vessel in his eye.
He was treated for several hours at a nearby hospital, along with an unidentified female passenger who was in the vehicle with him.

Garrett was released from the hospital, spent a few days rest and returned to the team on Thursday before being ruled out for their game against the Falcons that Sunday.
Earlier this week, he returned to training and called the crash a “wake-up call.”
“Good to even have Myles on the walkthrough, just to have his presence and him in the meetings,” coach Kevin Stefanski said before practice earlier this week.
“He’s a big part of what we do, so good he’s back. I haven’t seen him practice yet. He’s training, obviously on the side. But I can watch the training today and get a good sense of where he is.”
Garret (center, on the ground) sustained injuries to his arms, as well as multiple cuts and bruises
Without Garrett and defensive Jadeveon Clowney, who missed his second game in a row with an ankle injury on Sept. 18, the Browns missed a strong pass rush against the Falcons. Atlanta also ran the ball at will, rushing 202 yards.
“They are both real physical footballers in the run-up and in the pass,” Stefanski said. “When you play run defense and you hit people back and you set the edge and sometimes you set the edge so someone else can make the game. Those guys are both adept at that.’
Clowney stands aside. Stefanski said he hopes the three-time Pro Bowler will practice this week.
All-Pro guard Joel Bitonio (biceps/rest), tight end Harrison Bryant (illness), wide receiver Amari Cooper (resting) and tight end David Njoku (knee/rest) were all kept out of practice.
The Cleveland defense got back cornerback Greedy Williams, who missed the first four games with a hamstring injury.
After recovering from his injuries, Garrett will return to the team for a game this Sunday
