Brother of troubled former Mr Universe bodybuilder Calum von Moger disappears

The brother of haunted Mr Universe bodybuilder Calum von Moger has mysteriously disappeared – just months after going viral about a bizarre clash with an elderly couple.

Edward von Moger, 28, was reportedly filmed in August yelling at a couple about Covid vaccines through their car window along a Victorian road.

The confrontational video reportedly showed a shirtless Von Moger banging a boomerang on the couple’s driver’s side window and door mirror before launching into an expletive rant about Covid-19 vaccines.

Seven months later, a desperate search is underway to find von Moger after he vanished from his home in Geelong, 75 km southwest of Melbourne.

The 28-year-old was last seen on Laura Avenue, in Belmont, around 8 a.m. Thursday.

A day later, his vehicle was found abandoned 22 miles away on Ellimatta Road in Anglesea, a small coastal town on Victoria’s Great Ocean Road.

His brother Calum made a desperate plea for help finding his brother in an Instagram post on Saturday.

“My little brother Eddie is missing,” he wrote.

β€œHe was last seen three days ago on Thursday March 2 around 8am.

“If anyone has seen or heard ANYTHING about him or has any information on his whereabouts, please let me know and get in touch with Geelong Police Station.”

The police and Von Moger’s family are concerned for his well-being due to his medical condition and his disappearance has been described as “out of character.”

Officers are searching the area with help from the Police Air Wing, Search and Rescue Squad and Life Saving Victoria.

“Edward is described as being about six feet tall, of stocky build with short brown wavy hair,” a police statement said.

“He was last seen in an orange top, dark cargo pants and work boots.”

In the viral video, von Moger can reportedly be seen charging at the couple and yelling through their car window as they are parked along a Victorian road.

He then allegedly began banging on the driver’s side window and side mirror, pausing to look bizarrely at his reflection in the mirror.

“You broke my goddamn boomerang,” he yelled, splitting himself in half from the force of the window slam.

In the viral video that allegedly featured Edward, breaking his weapon caused him to boomerang again and become even more enraged.

Seconds later he is said to have shattered the wing mirror, ripped the glass from its holder and slammed it against the window, yelling ‘you bastards, you bastard bastard’.

With two more punches of his fist and open hand, he shattered the window, to the shock of the couple inside, and began his anti-vaccine diatribe.

β€œF***ing idiots, you got the vaccine and it didn’t bother you. You both got the damn vaccine and it lost a life,” he seemed to shout.

“Leave me alone,” the man in the driver’s seat told him, as the assailant grabbed his shirt.

He then stormed off in a huff, disappearing behind nearby stationary cars.

No charges were laid over the incident.

von Moger’s brother Calum, 31, is a three-time Mr Universe winner who played Arnold Schwarzenegger in the 2018 movie Bigger.

Months earlier in May, Calum made headlines when he was seriously injured after ‘jumping’ from the second floor of his home in Geelong, Victoria.

Police were called to the incident to report that a man was going through a mental health episode that saw Calum undergo surgery on his spine and spend 11 days in Melbourne’s Alfred Hospital.

The incident made international headlines due to his fame as a bodybuilder and his film career – as well as playing Schwarzenegger, he also starred in Netflix’s Calum von Moger: Unbroken and the bodybuilding documentary Generation Iron 2.

The spinal cord injury was just the latest in a series of setbacks in Calum von Moger’s life.

Over the past five years, the gym junkie β€” once dubbed Arnold Schwarzenegger 2.0 β€” suffered a knee and bicep injury that put him out of work for a year, discovered he was the father of a little boy named Kairos, and his California home burned down.

Shortly after being released from the hospital, he pleaded guilty to possession of several drugs, including testosterone, cannabis, and about two grams of methamphetamine, the deadly drug ice cream.

Those who follow Calum online say he hasn’t been the same since his bull terrier, Rex, choked to death on a chip in 2021.

Calum moved back to Australia from Los Angeles in October 2021.
