The brother of a schoolboy reportedly stabbed to death has choked back tears and revealed he didn’t get a chance to say goodbye to his sibling.
Pasawm Lyhym, 16, was reportedly stabbed to death around 3:45 p.m. on Thursday near a bus station in Sunshine, Melbourne’s west.
The incident came after an altercation between boys from different schools.
Mawn Lyhym, 24, has spoken openly about the terrifying incident that kept his emotion in check as he demanded justice for those responsible for the alleged attack.
His comment comes as detectives from Victoria’s homicide unit released a photo of a teenager they believe may help them in their investigation, warning the public not to approach him.
Pasawm Lyhym, 16, was reportedly stabbed near the Sunshine bus station in western Melbourne around 3:45pm on Thursday after an altercation between boys from different schools.

Mr Lyhym said he was going to the cinema with his brother Pasawm last Thursday night to see ‘Fast X’, but their plans never came to pass.
Mawn has learned that Pasawm unsuccessfully used a shopping cart to defend himself when he was allegedly attacked and stabbed.
“He used a trolley for self-protection because the man was carrying a knife. He pushed the trolley really well and then he ran away,” he said 9news.
Mawn became emotional as he described the aftermath of the alleged stabbing.
“I wanted to see his face anyway. But they won’t even let me go where he was.’
Mawn spent hours on Thursday night with his brother’s lifeless body and later struggled to come to terms with the family’s massive loss.
“I can’t believe it because he didn’t even say a proper goodbye to us,” he told 9news.
“Everyone loves him, he makes everyone laugh.”
‘[He was] only 16. No one deserves to die like this. No one.’
Another heartbreaking video showed Pasawm’s five-year-old nephew, Stephen, smiling as he says to the camera, “I miss you… Pasawm.”
Victoria Police made a quick arrest the day after the attack, but released the boy they had taken into custody without charge.

On Tuesday, Victorian police released footage of another boy wanted for questioning, Mayik Atem
Officers released footage on Tuesday saying they wanted to question another boy, Mayik Atem.
Police said Atem was now “part of an important search” following the incident.
Atem is described as being between 185 and 190 cm tall with a slim build and black hair in a short hairstyle with dreadlocks.
“Homicide detectives are appealing for public assistance as part of a vital search for Mayik Atem following the fatal stabbing of a teenage boy in Sunshine last week,” a Victoria Police spokesman said.
‘Atem is known for frequent visits to the Sunshine, Hillside, Braybrook and Sydenham areas.
Police said it is unknown if Atem is armed, but they warned the public not to approach him and to call 000 instead.
“Detectives also urge Atem to contact the police as soon as possible or to turn themselves in to a police station,” said the spokesperson.
It was announced last Friday that a 17-year-old had been arrested in connection with Lyhym’s death, but was released without charge the following morning.
A second teen turned himself in Friday night after police held a press conference saying two other men had been identified as suspects.
The second teen, 18, was released after an interview.
