The Brooklyn Nets ‘trade Jae Crowder to the Milwaukee Bucks for FIVE second-round picks’ just 48 hours after acquiring the forward from the Phoenix Suns as part of the Kevin Durant package
The Brooklyn Nets are trading Jae Crowder to the Milwaukee Bucks for five second-round picks, according to a report.
Crowder’s tenure in Brooklyn has been incredibly brief as the 32-year-old is already heading to Milwaukee, just 48 hours after landing with the Nets.
The Nets are turning the forward over to the Bucks after acquiring him from the Phoenix Suns as part of the Kevin Durant package, according to Shams Charania.
In return, Brooklyn gets an incredible five second-round picks, which is a lot for a 32-year-old forward who hasn’t played all season.
It is also said that the Indiana Pacers will acquire Jordan Nwora from the Bucks and two second-round players as part of the three-way deal with Brooklyn and Milwaukee.

The last time Crowder took the court was during the 2022 postseason when he struggled when the Suns lost to the Dallas Mavericks in the second round of the playoffs.
He was reportedly informed by the Suns over the summer that he could start losing his starting job this season and asked to skip training camp and request a trade.
The veteran ended up on the team’s inactive list and didn’t play for the Suns this year because the franchise was looking for a business partner.
Crowder has dressed for the Dallas Mavericks, Boston Celtics, Utah Jazz, Cleveland Cavaliers, Memphis Grizzlies, Miami Heat, and Suns during his 10 years in the NBA.
He has spent his last two seasons in Phoenix, where he has started 109 of his 127 regular-season games.
Crowder will become a free agent this summer and could leave Milwaukee for nothing in free agency at the end of the season, making him feel like a long shot for the Bucks.
Still, it’s an all-in move by the Bucks who are in the hunt for the championship title this year.
Crowder joins the second-place Bucks team looking to return to the NBA Finals after winning the championship two seasons ago.
the dollars they were said to be pursuing a trade for Crowder in December with the Suns allegedly involved in three-team talks that would have sent Crowder to Milwaukee, four second-round draft picks from the Bucks along with players to Houston, and Eric Gordon and/or Kenyon Martin Jr. to Phoenix, but a deal failure.
The reported trade comes just hours before the league’s 3:00 p.m. Thursday deadline.
The news of the Crowder trade comes after a busy week for the Nets who have already said goodbye to their main stars, Kyrie Irving and Durant.
Durant and TJ Warren were traded to the Suns in a blockbuster trade with Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Crowder and four first-round picks heading to Brooklyn in exchange for the duo.
The teams, in 2023, ’25, ’27 and ’29 are all unprotected. In addition, a selection exchange will take place between the two franchises.
News of Durant’s trade broke moments after his former teammate, Irving, made his debut with Dallas.
Irving sealed a trade with the Mavericks on Sunday after submitting a request to the Brooklyn Nets last Friday.
The Clippers, Lakers and Phoenix Suns were said to be interested, but the Mavs beat out the competition, trading Spencer Dinwiddie, Dorian Finney-Smith and a 2029 first-round pick for the NBA champion.
