Brooklyn man accused of DISMEMBERING a drug dealing child molester claims he never even knew the victim – after his wife told police he IS responsible for body parts found in their freezer
A Brooklyn man accused by his wife of killing a drug-dealing child molester told his family he is innocent and wasn’t even there when the victim was dismembered and thrown into his freezer, DailyMail.com can exclusively learn to reveal.
Nicholas McGee, a suspect in the murder and dismemberment of 40-year-old Kawsheen Gelzer, has been locked up in Chesapeake, Virginia, since September on an unrelated check fraud case.
Gelzer’s head and other body parts were discovered Monday in several plastic bags after police received a tip.
Heather Stines, a 45-year-old drug addict who lived with her husband in the Flatbush apartment, was charged Thursday with concealing a human corpse and remains a person of interest in the killing, which police said apparently stemmed from a dispute over drugs .
But Stines blames her husband and says he killed the man before his arrest in Virginia, police sources have told DailyMail.com.

The victim, 40-year-old Kawsheen Gelzer, has been on New York’s sex offender registry since 2005, according to records, after he was convicted of abusing a 12-year-old boy and served a prison sentence for sexual abuse, among other charges. arrests
The body parts were found Monday evening around 7:10 p.m. in apartment 4C in a Brooklyn apartment building on Nostrand Avenue.
A relative of McGee told DailyMail.com that she spoke to him late Wednesday, read him a DailyMail.com article about the case and asked him if he had anything to do with it.
McGee spoke to her from behind bars and denied having anything to do with the killing, slashing or hiding, claiming he had an idea who Gelzer was.
“I said to him, ‘Do you want me to read the article to you?’ Because this means she’s accusing you, and now there’s a picture of you. When I read (the victim’s) name, he said he didn’t know who that was. I read it to him in full and he still said, ‘No, that didn’t happen.’
“He hasn’t admitted anything to us,” the relative added. “He said he’s been in jail and this hasn’t happened before when he’s been out.”
McGee told her he would be released on February 4 and that the NYPD had not contacted him at the time of their call.
“I told him that if the NYPD comes and they want to arrest you, they can do it because they involve you,” she told DailyMail.com.
His wife, Stines, was taken to Brookdale Hospital for a psychiatric evaluation after being questioned by detectives.
Neighbors told DailyMail.com that Stines (pictured) would never allow anyone into her kitchen for fear of what was inside. After her arrest and interrogation, she was taken to Brookdale Hospital for a psychiatric evaluation
Stines told police that her husband killed Gelzer in September, then dismembered him and put him in the freezer.
“She said that, and we believe it to be true,” the source said, adding that the case was being investigated as a suspected drug-related homicide.
“She says it was her husband, but he’s in jail and she’s there with a dead body,” said another police source.
When asked if they believed McGee killed Gelzer, the second source said, “That’s possible. I don’t think she could have dismembered the body herself.
“Maybe they were together… we don’t know how long this guy was in the refrigerator.”
Gelzer was convicted of sexual abuse in the first degree, contact under duress, which he committed on August 8, 2004, according to the criminal record.
NYPD confirmed they were called to the apartment on Nostrand Avenue in Brooklyn on Monday at 7:10 p.m.
Once there, sources said officers noticed a suspiciously taped refrigerator, which Stines was adamant they had not opened while trying to inspect it.
Stines was arrested when she tried to prevent officers from looking inside.
The old building with “Flatbush Court” engraved above the always unlocked door was poorly maintained with graffiti on the walls and chips through the plaster of the lobby. Most of the shops in the area are boarded up and there are piles of rubbish bags on either side of the door

Officers found the body parts in black plastic bags in both the refrigerator and freezer and removed them from the apartment for DNA testing.
Gelzer was identified by his distinctive gang tattoos that matched arrest records.
The medical examiner was still determining the cause of death, but that has been postponed because they “have to wait until (parts of) the body has thawed,” the source said.
Stines’ elderly aunt, Amy Stines, expressed her shock and horror at the news on Tuesday.
“Oh God, I just can’t fathom this,” the 79-year-old from Kentucky told DailyMail.com.
She said her niece has had drug problems for years and moved from Kentucky six years ago in hopes of escaping her problems.
Relatives of McGee said he is also a drug addict with a criminal history who was recently incarcerated in September after being accused of cashing a fraudulent check at a bank.
