The first trailer for Nicola Peltz Beckham’s directorial debut film Lola is finally here, and no one could be prouder than the actress’ husband, Brooklyn.

On Thursday, the eldest Beckham son, 24, took to Instagram to share the trailer as he gushed over his lingerie-clad wife in the upcoming drama.

Nicola, 28, plays the lead role of 19-year-old Lola in the film, and has also directed and written the project.

In one shot, the star gives a sultry look to her on-screen boyfriend while wearing a lacy, deep pink top.

Complimenting his wife, Brooklyn wrote, “Wow, I can’t believe it’s finally here. x You worked so hard on this and I couldn’t be more proud of you. xx.

Brooklyn also posted the trailer to his grid, captioning the clip: “I’m soooo proud of you x can’t wait for everyone to see Lola love you baby girl xx.”

Accompanied by Stephen Sanchez’s hit Until I Found You, the trailer opens with Nicola’s character swimming with her younger brother.

She begins, “I am the person I am today because of the people who helped me and the people who hurt me.”

Looking a far cry from her usual brunette look, Nicola wears a choppy blonde bob for the film as she hangs outside her friend’s car with a cigarette hanging from her lips.

The trailer then delves into the film’s dramatic plot, as Lola desperately tries to save enough money to get her little brother Arlo out of their toxic home dominated by their mother Mona.

Arlo, played by Luke David Blumm, faces abuse from the couple’s mother, who scolds the child for wearing makeup and dressing femininely while calling him a ‘little f****t’ ‘ mentions.

After promising Arlo, “I love you so much. I’m getting you out of here. I promise, things take an unexpected turn when Lola finds out she’s expecting a baby with her troublesome boyfriend.

She continued: “Despite a life of hardship, abuse and generational trauma, Lola is a fighter – driven by unconditional love and a refusal to submit to the unsatisfactory future that has been thrust upon her.

“It’s a heartfelt story that we hope everyone can relate to and hopefully feel inspired by in some way.”
