Brooklyn Beckham aims to take over the food industry as the aspiring chef makes savvy business move

Brooklyn Beckham has revealed his latest career move: he wants to take over the food industry.

The eldest child of David and Victoria Beckham was active as a footballer, photographer and recently as a chef.

While Brooklyn isn’t ready to throw away his apron just yet, he has revealed plans to focus on the production side.

Brooklyn, married to American billionaire heiress Nicole Peltz, is preparing to launch his own ‘Brand Beckham’.

His plans for the Cloud 23 food and drink range were first revealed by MailOnline in January, and he now sports a T-shirt with ‘Cloud 23’ on it and a cherub logo (which looks like it was copied from the design for one of his first tattoos).

Beckham Jr. confirmed in an interview in June that he plans to launch a product “in the food sector,” saying it would hit Whole Foods in September.

There have been some delays following the passing of Brooklyn and his wife’s Chihuahua, Nala, in June, but the launch is now imminent.

So, what will the first product be? Well, I can also reveal that Peltz Beckham LLC, which is his company, now has a spin-off called Buster Hot Sauce Inc — which feels like a pretty heavy hint.

Brooklyn told In Style magazine in June of the as-yet-unconfirmed food: “It’s tasty because it’s so broad. You can use it in spicy margaritas, you can use it on chicken, you can use it on sushi.”

Hot sauce? On sushi? Ouch.

He added: ‘I can’t say exactly what it is, but it’s in the food sector. It’s been a passion of mine for the last two and a half years, something I’ve literally put everything into. I’ve never worked so hard on something in my life.’

He also put his own money into the project. “I had to find a distributor… finding a CEO is very difficult, especially for a start-up. The first year I was alone — I put a lot of money into it to start it myself — and then, maybe less than a year ago, I got investors.”

Buster is the nickname given to Brooklyn by his godfather Sir Elton John. His entire family still calls him that.

This comes after Brooklyn’s father David expressed his disbelief at winning an Emmy Award for his Netflix docuseries, after it was nominated in five different categories.

The former footballer, 49, and his wife Victoria, 50, were nominated for the 2023 Netflix documentary Beckham episode What Makes David Ren.

At the Creative Arts Emmys in Los Angeles on Saturday, the docuseries won the award in the Documentary or Nonfiction Series category.

And on Tuesday, David shared a bunch of snaps on Instagram, proudly showing off his shiny new award.
