The FYC events are hosted by studios to promote their shows for Emmy considerations.

The two-part documentary Pretty Baby premiered on Hulu on April 3.
The documentary, directed by Lana Wilson, takes its name from Louis Malle’s 1978 film Pretty Baby, a drama about a young sex worker, played by Shields, in New Orleans in 1917.
The film was met with controversy from critics when Shields, who was only 11 years old when the movie was filmed, appeared nude in several scenes and kissed a then 27-year-old Keith Carradine while she was naked.
Pretty Baby wasn’t the first and wouldn’t be the last time she was sexualized by the media. At the age of 15 she shot Blue Lagoon, then came Endless Love. Both contain sex and nudity. And then there were those Calvin Klein denim ads.
When she was 16 and a global star, a family friend and photographer tried to sell nude photos he had taken of her when she was only 10. Her mother sued and the family went to court, but the photographer won.
Shields, who has written two memoirs, has been approached about documentaries before and always said no.
But with a child entering college, and with the encouragement of her friend Ali Wentworth and an overall good feeling about where she stands in life after years of therapy, Shields felt the time was right.
The alumnus Suzanna’s appearance at the Disney FYC event comes about a week after she opened up that she didn’t want her daughter Grier, 17, to be a model on Live with Kelly and Mark.
“I’ve been fighting it for so long,” Shields told the hosts. “It’s such a different industry now than it was.”

She added that Grier modeled “little things here and there” and that the mother-of-two eventually “had to give in” to her daughter’s career aspirations, but not without some strict ground rules.
You’re going to have a great work ethic, it’s not going to be comfortable, and you’re going to listen to me, those are my rules,” Brooke said of her rules.
Shields also emphasized that Greer is “interested in catwalk,” something Brooke herself never did in her days as a model, as she mainly focused on modeling prints.
The Lipstick Jungle alum also shares another daughter, Rowan, 20, with her husband, film director and screenwriter Chris Henchy.
