Brooke Shields looked cool as a cucumber when she was spotted walking around New York City on Wednesday.

She showed no public outcry over the many bombshell revelations that emerged from her shocking new documentary Pretty Baby.

The film allowed Brooke, 57, to bare her soul about the dark side of her life, from being forced into showbiz and sexualized as a child to being raped at age 22.

On her latest outing, however, she seemed to be more cheerful, beaming as she walked down the city sidewalk with a bulging takeout bag after a visit to the Gorjana jewelry store.

Fending off the northeastern chill with a charcoal anorak, Brooke looked casual in a simple white-striped blouse partially tucked into her fashionably flowy jeans.

The Suddenly Susan star let her luxurious golden brown locks fall freely over her shoulders as she made her way through the city that never sleeps.

She put on a worn-looking pair of white shoes that matched her nail polish and topped it all off with a shoulder bag.

Her latest outing comes after Brooke opened up about her 16-year-old daughter Grier’s fierce reaction to Pretty Baby.

The mother-of-two confessed that the teen was “furious” after looking at it and discovering all the horrific experiences Brooke had survived.

Brooke was utterly honest about her journey in the breathtaking Hulu documentary, which premiered April 3.

Over the course of the film, she made a series of astonishing revelations about how she was thrust into the limelight at a young age by her alcoholic mother.

The former supermodel recalled posing nude at age 10, playing child prostitute when she was just 11 and being raped when she was 22.

Now the actress has opened up about the anger – and sadness – her youngest child felt after watching Pretty Baby.

In a recent appearance on Today with Hoda & JennaBrooke explained that de Grier started “sobbing” and “ran out of the screening room” after being so shaken by everything she had to endure.

“Grier took it as all the things I kept from her, she was furious and very sad,” Brooke said.

She said, “Nothing you say to me, Mom, will make it better.” She said, “I hate to see bad things happen to you.”

“She just sobbed and ran out of the screening room, and my husband was mad because I didn’t protect her.”

As for her eldest daughter, Rowan, 19, the 57-year-old said she immediately felt the importance of the documentary, explaining:[Rowan] could say, “Women need to see this.”‘

Brooke started modeling when she was just 11 months old – when she appeared in an advertisement for the Ivory Soap brand.

She went on to become one of the most successful child models of all time, starring in a slew of campaigns for major companies such as Gerber, Calvin Klein and Vogue – and she also expanded her career by stepping into the world of acting.

But in the documentary, Brooke said she was sexualized from a young age and berated her mother, Teri, for putting her in so many inappropriate situations during her childhood.

She played a famous sex worker in the 1978 movie Pretty Baby when she was just 11, and she had to kiss her costar, Keith Carradine, then 27, for one scene of the movie.

In the document, her daughters revealed they had refused to look at it, with Rowan labeling it “child pornography.”

Speaking to The Sunday Times, the star said it was “difficult for her” to have the conversation about the film with her daughters, and she had to remind herself “not to justify her mother to them.”

“I mean, I could say, ‘Oh, it was the days of old,’ or, ‘Oh, it was art,’ but I don’t know why she thought it was okay.” I don’t know,” she added.

“I had to go through so much at such a young age, there was resilience, but I also put blinders on as a defense mechanism. But now I can look at that little girl and think, “She did it, she made it.”

The Blue Lagoon stars famously took a break from acting and modeling in the ’80s to focus on her education instead.

However, she revealed in the documentary that after graduating from Princeton in 1987, she was raped by an unnamed man as she struggled to get back into the industry.

After eating to discuss possible work, Brooke recalled the man saying, “Come back to the hotel and I’ll call a cab.”

“I go to the hotel room and he disappears for a while,” she continued. “The door opens, the person comes out naked, and… I’m like, ‘St. He’s right at me. Just like he was struggling.’

Brooke added that she didn’t try to run because she was afraid it would provoke him into hurting her even more.

“I was afraid I was going to choke or something,” she said in the film. So I didn’t fight that much. Not me. I just completely froze.

“I thought one ‘No’ should have been enough, and I just thought, ‘Stay alive and get out,’ and I just shut it down.

God knows I knew how to break free from my body. I had practiced that. I went down the elevator and got my own taxi. I cried all the way to my friend’s apartment.”
