Earlier this year, in March, tTwo people were arrested after being filmed performing a brutal and sickening bat attack on a man in the middle of a Queens street, above a parking lot.

Authorities said the attack — which took place on 49th Street in Sunnyside — left the unidentified victim brain-damaged and on a ventilator.

Alleged assailants Arturo Cuevas, 30, and Daisy Barrera, 27, can be seen in the video mercilessly beating and kicking the 28-year-old man in broad daylight.

Not only had the man been kicked and beaten with a bat, but according to police, the man had also been stabbed ‘throughout the body’ five times and entered the hospital in critical condition.

Barrera and Cuevas have each been charged with second-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault and second-degree assault.
