Brisbane detained the 21-year-old at the end of December last year, after he was charged with one count of sexual assault following an alleged incident with a woman at a nightclub on December 21.

The Broncos confirmed they had parted ways with the backrower with a short statement contained in their roster announcement for the 2023 NRL season.

“As part of the process to finalize this season’s squad, striker TC Robati has been released from his contract with the club,” the statement read.

“We fully recognize that this is a serious matter and as a club we strongly oppose any situation involving the intrusion of personal boundaries with members of the public.”
