San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy said he is willing to disappoint Taylor Swift by leading his team to victory in Super Bowl LVIII against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Swift has a relationship with Chiefs Travis Kelce and has attended 12 games in Kansas City this season.
Swift is expected to be at the championship game on Sunday.
NFL Network’s Scott Hanson, best known as host of NFL RedZone, asked Purdy the Swift question as part of Super Bowl LVIII’s media night.
Standing directly next to Purdy was Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who laughed as soon as Hanson asked the question.

“It’s late in the fourth quarter. Are you willing to disappoint Taylor Swift?’ Hanson said to Purdy.
‘Yes. We’ll leave it at that,” Purdy replied.
“Maybe she’ll do a song wrong about it, you never know,” Hanson added.
Swift was a constant topic of conversation Monday night, as Kelce, Mahomes and Chiefs head coach Andy Reid were all asked multiple questions about the 14-time Grammy Award winner.

Swift has four shows on her Japanese leg of ‘The Eras Tour’ from Wednesday to Saturday and is expected to travel back to the United States in time for Super Bowl LVIII.
Purdy hadn’t commented on Swift previously being part of the NFL universe, but had to know the question would eventually come due to mainstream interest in their relationship.
