Sky suffered an 11.5 per cent drop in revenue to £14.3 billion last year, although profits and customer numbers rose.
US media giant Comcast bought Sky in 2018 for £30 billion. But last October it took a £6.8 billion write-down on the company’s value, blaming “challenging economic conditions.”
Sales of the company’s acclaimed Sky Glass product – a TV with streaming apps and built-in Sky that avoids the need for a satellite dish – have reportedly been disappointing.
“It’s in a really tough spot,” said a source.
