Brittany Snow reveals friends and self-care helped her get through divorce from Tyler Stanaland

Brittany Snow follows her own advice.

The 37-year-old actress, who stars in The Good Half with Nick Jonas, spoke about the importance of self-care on the red carpet of the film’s premiere Thursday.

In a new interview with Peopleshe shared how she’s been since filing for divorce from husband, Tyler Stanaland, 33, in January.

The couple married in March 2020 and announced their divorce in September 2022.

“I think everyone goes through really rough times and then it’s all in our perspective and how we deal with it, right?” said the Almost Family star.

Brittany, who co-wrote September Letters: Finding Strength and Connection in Sharing Our Stories with her friend Jaspre Guest, explained that her friends really stood by her side in times of need.

“In the past year, I’ve probably gone through the toughest mental health challenge I’ve ever experienced.” told the Someone Great actress Rush.

‘In one day, in a few hours’ time, my life was completely turned upside down. I was blindsided and everything I thought I knew, held sacred and truly trusted in my life was completely different.”

The turmoil only increased when “a few days later my grandmother died and I think everything I knew about mental health was tested.

Thank God for my friends. I don’t know if I would have made it without them. They reminded me who I was and what I stood for.’

Brittany revealed that one of her Pitch Perfect co-stars was instrumental in overcoming her grief.

“The past year has been really tough for me, and one of the girls, you know, just opened her door and I just fell on the floor and cried and lay there. And she nursed me back to health for about four days.”

Brittany’s movie, The Good Half, stars Nick Jonas, Elizabeth Shue, and David Arquette.

Writing about her experience on Instagram, Brittany had this to say about the dramadie: “This is truly a special movie. I’m so proud to be part of a film that tackles grief in such a funny, nuanced and unexpected way.”

“Congratulations (director) Robert Schwartzman & (writer) Brett Ryland for showing your heart,” she concluded.

The actress had praise for her on-screen family, including the man who stars as her brother.

Nick Jones. I’m not sure how one human being can be more talented, but he does it all and will blow you away,” the star exulted.
