Brittany Hockley is left with a huge scar on her chest after she burned herself with a hair straightener
Brittany Hockley suffered a painful beauty accident on Wednesday morning.
The radio and podcast host, 35, burned herself with a flat iron set at 180°C after it slipped from her hand and fell onto her ‘bare chest’.
“It just fell through my silky smooth hair onto my bare chest,” she explained The Kyle and Jackie O Show.

Brittany told the story hours after it happened on air.
‘It rippled past [my skin] half a second and I looked down and put ice on it so I thought it would be fine,” she said.
Despite making only brief contact with her chest, Brittany was left with a large, painful burn.
Brittany fills in for Jackie ‘O’ Henderson in the coming weeks as the KIIS FM star takes time off to recuperate from the after-effects of Covid.

Jackie, 47, said at the start of Monday’s show that she had been in poor health since contracting Covid-19 a few months ago and had been told by doctors to take time off and rest enough to recover from the virus.
She told listeners she would be off the air for the next “few weeks,” but did not specify a return date.
Brittany, who is currently starring in the Channel 10 reality show The Challenge, immediately stepped into the role of Jackie alongside Kyle Sandilands.

She took over all of Jackie’s usual segments that morning, including the O News entertainment update.
Brittany recently became part of the KIIS FM family after reportedly signing a multi-million dollar deal with the station’s parent company ARN.
Industry rumors suggest that the new Pick-Up afternoon show at 3 p.m. will also be replaced by Life Uncut, which Brittany co-hosts with Laura Byrne.
Brittany, who currently stars in the Channel 10 reality show The Challenge, immediately stepped into the role of Jackie alongside Kyle.
