The Bachelor’s Brittany Hockley reveals what she really thinks of Abbie Chatfield after their explosive ‘slut-shaming’ feud
Brittany Hockley has broken her silence over her ‘slut-shaming’ feud with fellow Bachelor star Abbie Chatfield.
The 35-year-old podcast host got into a fight with her Abbie in December last year after she accused Brittany of taunting her on live radio.
Brittany told it this week Stellar magazineshe won’t waste her “time and energy commenting on things going on around her.”
“One thing I’ve realized over the past few months is that protecting my peace is much more important than factoring in anything else that might be happening around me,” she said.
“I know who I am, and the people in my life who I love and matter know who I am too. And I’m learning just not to worry about it.”

‘Time and energy are precious commodities and I am not [want to] waste them.’
Brittany said she preferred to spend her time and energy on her relationships and her work.
Abbie lashed out after learning that Brittany had joked about her dating life during an interview with American rapper Yung Gravy on KIIS FM in November.
While Brittany’s then-co-host Kyle Sandilands was the one who spearheaded the conversation, Abbie said Britt was complicit in his “misogyny” by refusing to speak out.
The podcast host struck up a conversation with her Abbie (pictured) in December last year after she accused Brittany of taunting her on live radio.
Brittany posted a statement to Instagram a day later apologizing for her involvement in the “misogynistic” pranks, insisting she had always been an advocate for women’s empowerment.
“I want to apologize for the subcutaneously misogynistic tone of the interview,” she began.
“The nature of live radio is unpredictable and often unplanned, which was the case with the direction the conversation went. Live on the radio, I was in a position where Abbie and I were going head-to-head.”
“One thing I’ve realized over the past few months is that protecting my peace is much more important than factoring in anything else that might be going on around me,” she said.
Brittany, who co-hosts the Life Uncut podcast, assured her fans that it was never her intention to “make anyone feel embarrassed” about enjoying sex.
Abbie, who is a judge on Channel 10’s The Masked Singer, said the apology was insufficient and only showed Brittany’s “internalised misogyny”.
She also scolded Britt for not standing up to her co-host Kyle when he said Yung Gravy would have to queue if he wanted to date her.
