While Laura believes that Cassie should be able to get over her mistakes, she doesn’t deserve to be on the show because she’s only a ‘celebrity’ because of her crime.

‘Do I think Cassie may have a redemption story? I absolutely do. And I think people can make mistakes? I absolutely do,’ she said.

‘My problem is that the program puts these people. It’s not like Cassie was an actress or anything and she did these cool things before she smuggled the drugs and we’re giving her a redemption arc. We are not doing that.

‘The only reason it’s known for is drug smuggling. So we took her out and put her on the show, paid her off and gave her a platform. What does that say to young, impressionable people? That it’s okay to do what you want because she watches where you end up.
