Brittany Higgins has singled out her former Secretary of Defense boss Linda Reynolds and demanded an end to the ongoing war between them.
Ms Reynolds has referred the alleged $2.5 million payout from Commonwealth Ms Higgins to the newly formed National Anti-Corruption Commission.
The former Coalition minister is also suing Ms Higgins’ fiancée, David Sharaz, for libel over two tweets posted last year.
But in a furious outburst on Instagram on Tuesday, Ms Higgins unleashed her anger at her old boss.
“This has been going on for years,” she wrote. “It has to stop.”

She included screenshots of news articles about Ms Reynolds alleging that Attorney General Mark Dreyfuss had shown prejudice about the investigation into Bruce Lehrmann’s prosecution.
Mr Lehrmann allegedly raped Ms Higgins in Ms Reynolds’ parliamentary office after a drunken night out in 2019, which he strongly denied.
Another screenshot linked to a story about Ms Reynolds referring her December 2022 Commonwealth payout to the new NACC.
Ms Higgins added: ‘These are just today’s headlines.
“This is from a current Australian senator who continues to harass me through the media and in parliament.
“My former boss who has publicly apologized for mishandling my rape allegation.
“Who has had to apologize publicly after slandering me in the workplace.
“Who showed a lot of questionable behavior during my rape trial.
“Who is suing my fiancé for a tweet.
“This has been going on for years. It has to stop.’
Ms Reynolds paid damages to Ms Higgins after calling her a ‘lying cow’ following the rape allegations and subsequent treatment of Ms Higgins in Canberra.
She later retracted the comments, insisting she had not meant them in the “sense that it may have been understood.”
Ms Reynolds added: “As the comment has been made public, which I never intended, I would also like to retract it and apologize unreservedly to Brittany Higgins and acknowledge the pain and suffering it has caused her.”
At the time, Ms Higgins said she accepted the apology and promised to donate Ms Reynolds’ money to a sexual assault support group in the Canberra area.

During Mr. Lehrmann’s trial, Ms. Reynolds admitted to texting his defense attorneys seeking transcripts of Ms. Higgins’ evidence for the ACT Supreme Court.
Shane Drumgold, ACT’s Attorney General’s Office, also told the court that Senator Reynolds’ partner was in court during the trial.
He added; “You looked up the transcripts, didn’t you? Why? You got your partner in court.”
He accused her of trying to coach the defense lawyers, which she denied, saying she had not been given transcripts because her own lawyer had said it was inappropriate.
“My lawyer was very clear,” she said.
Daily Mail Australia has contacted Ms Reynolds’ office for comment.
