- Brittany Higgins pregnant with first child
Brittany Higgins and her husband David Sharaz have announced that they are expecting their first child.
“I can’t wait to meet you,” the overjoyed couple posted on Instagram on Sunday.
‘We are extremely happy to welcome a new member to our family.
“Your parents are already obsessed with you and you’re not even there yet.”
The news was posted alongside a photo showing knitted booties and a babygrow.
The post was soon flooded with messages from people wanting to give me their best.
“What a wonderful time for you and David. Congratulations,” said The Block judge Shayna Blaze.
The happy couple recently got married in June at one of Australia’s most exclusive and elegant wedding venues: The Valley Estate on the Gold Coast.
The happy couple celebrated their wedding with a small group of close friends and family in Queensland.
The couple first met in 2020, when Sharaz was working as a producer for Karl Stefanovic’s brother Pete on his Sky News morning show.
Mr Sharaz was immediately smitten. He had previously described seeing the ‘beautiful’ Mrs Higgins walk through the door of a television studio in Parliament House.
On the day of their wedding, Mr. Sharaz shared the funny conversation between him and his future bride, long before they started dating.

He revealed that he accidentally sent a photo of Ms Higgins by the famous ‘budget tree’ in the Parliament building courtyard to her from her Instagram account while he was trying to send the photo to a friend.
Commenting on a photo of Ms Higgins, Mr Sharaz wrote: ‘I love this photo. But especially the tree.’
In the June caption, Sharaz wrote, “I accidentally sent a picture of myself to a girl I had a crush on.”
“A few years later, we’re getting married! Romantic comedies really do exist.”
