Brittany Cartwright appeared to forget her troubles as she hit the beach in Santa Monica with her and ex-husband Jax Taylor’s son, Cruz, on Sunday.

The 35-year-old Kentucky resident, who was recently hit with a $35,000 tax liability on her San Fernando Valley home, laughed the entire time with her 3-year-old.

The star, who split from Taylor, 45, earlier this year, wore a busty royal blue swimsuit.

As the former couple headed to the beach in the white Jeep Wrangler, she wore a matching romper with a plunging front.

At one point, the Southern belle, who rose to fame on the Bravo reality series Vanderpump Rules, threw her head back in laughter while taking a dip in the ocean with her young son.

Cartwright, who married Taylor in 2019, wore her long, blonde locks in a ponytail for the sunny day.

Sometimes she wore her locks in a casual bun on top of her head.

And she protected her eyes with a stylish pair of shiny rectangular onyx sunglasses.

Brittany arrived on the beach in a pair of white Christian Dior ballerina flats and sported a pointed, almond-shaped, milky nude manicure.

Documents recently obtained by DailyMail.com reveal that the California Franchise Tax Board has placed a tax lien on Brittany and Jax’s Valley Village home worth $1.9 million.

The lien was established on June 12, 2024 and amounted to $35,239.88.

The Valley star has been living in an Airbnb since her split from Jax after nearly five years of marriage.

However, in April she revealed that she still pays “all the bills” at home, while Jax “pays the mortgage.”

DailyMail.com contacted Cartwright’s representatives, but they declined to comment.

The legal documents relating to the property state that ‘further interest and charges will accrue’ until the mortgage is paid.

Cartwright and Taylor moved into the 3,800-square-foot, five-bedroom home in May 2019 in preparation for their June wedding.

Brittany shared a photo on social media in front of their home at the time, writing, “I feel SO blessed! We have so much to look forward to. We’re moving into our first home together this week, getting married in less than 2 months, and we’re starting filming season 8!!”

The home is located near the homes of fellow cast members Tom Schwartz, Katie Maloney, Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix.

In April, Brittany revealed on an episode of the podcast Not Skinny but Not Fat that she still pays “all the bills” at home, while Jax “pays the mortgage.” Legal documents regarding the house state that “there will be additional interest and fees” until the mortgage is paid.

Brittany and Jax announced their separation in late February.

Brittany revealed earlier this year on the podcast Not Skinny but Not Fat that she put down “the same amount of money” as Jax to buy their house.

She also said she paid Cruz’s school fees, insurance and their car.

Following the split, the mother of one also revealed that Jax suggested she “move back into the house and live in the master bedroom and [he] “I wanted to live in the guest room,” but she declined the offer.

“I thought, ‘That’s not going to happen.’ I’m just going to keep spending a bunch of money on Airbnbs until we figure out what we’re going to do,” she said.
