TMZ later reported that the call was made Wednesday by the LAPD’s smart team — the mental evaluation unit. The authorities went to the star’s house after the caller assured them that he was not just a fan.
Britney’s attorney then approached deputies after a welfare check, and authorities explained that they visited Britney’s home because the caller knew the singer.
