Britney Spears’ settlement with her father Jamie was reportedly intended to protect her from reliving the past trauma of her 13-year conservatorship.
The 42-year-old singer has failed to hold her father accountable for having control over her life and finances during this time.
The American star has since spoken about the “pain” her family inflicted on her, claiming in an Instagram post on Sunday that justice has not been served.
Lawyers reached a conservatorship settlement, which determined that Britney must pay her father’s legal fees worth $2 million.
Following the news, Britney wrote on Instagram: ‘My family hurt me! There has been no justice and probably never will be!’

However, it has now been claimed by the Sun that the reason the case didn’t go to trial was because it would require reliving her most embarrassing moments.
Britney was placed in conservatorship in 2008, where her father managed her financial and personal affairs due to concerns about her mental health.
A source said: ‘Her legal team decided the focus should be on protecting her from reliving the trauma of her conservatorship.’
Britney made the comments alongside a semi-naked photo of her backside while responding to the legal ruling on Instagram.
“I was actually right about the nerve damage in my back!!!” she started in the subtitles.
‘I need to have [acupuncture] every day of my life now!!! Words and thinking too hard make it worse!!! If only people knew how I once had to crawl to my own door!!!
In the post she said: ‘My family hurt me!!! There has been no justice and probably never will be!!! The people who sat and did nothing at all when they did that for four months, it’s been smooth sailing!!!’

Her post comes after Britney quietly settled her years-long legal battle with dad Jamie, 71, last week.
The ruling saddles Britney with Jamie’s legal bill, in addition to the $4 million she reportedly spent on her own lawyer.
Now that nothing has been awarded to the Baby One More Time artist, Britney is said to be in a bigger financial hole than before the lawsuit.
“Because of the way I was raised, I was always taught the formation of right and wrong, but the two people who raised me with that method hurt me!!!” she wrote in Sunday’s post. ‘I’m so lucky to be here!!!
“It’s funny because to this day I haven’t told them in person!!! I text via IG, but I honestly don’t think it would be that safe if I were ever face to face!!!
‘The child in me knows they would be destroyed and that’s basically it!!! I miss my home in Louisiana and I wish I could get there but they took everything!!!” Britney added.
According to TMZ, Britney is furious about the outcome of the settlement after her lawyer Mathew Rosengart assured her it was a solid case.
In legal filings obtained by the outlet, Jamie accused his daughter of using exaggerated tactics to resolve the case.
Britney’s father served as her conservator during her 13-year conservatorship, which ended in 2021.
In June, she testified about the “abuse” she allegedly suffered during her conservatorship
She also accused Jamie of financial misconduct as her conservator. what he was paid for $16,000 per month and received a percentage of her tour’s gross receipts.
With the settlement, Britney and her father have avoided a lawsuit.
