Britney Spears reveals paranormal experience while ‘speeding’ through desert to get over ex Justin Timberlake: ‘An eerie feeling settled over me’

Britney Spears revealed she had a third kind of encounter.

The pop icon said it happened while she was trying to escape the fallout from her failed relationship with Justin Timberlake in 2002.

In her new memoir The Woman in Me, the 41-year-old wrote that she skipped town and took a drive in Arizona to clear her head after her abortion and breakup with the N-Sync member when the paranormal experience occurred .

While driving through the desert in a convertible with a friend, the Toxic crooner was struck by the mystical moment, writing “an eerie feeling came over me.”

She later described it as “a profound beauty, otherworldly and humbling.”

Britney went on to say that she “sat still for a long time and just sat there with that feeling,” although she was tempted to turn to her unnamed friend and ask, “Do you believe in aliens?”

The friend didn’t need any prompting, though, as she asked Britney, “Do you feel that?” What is that?’

While the experience still remains a mystery to Britney, she did write, “we felt it in that moment because we needed it.

“We were so spiritually open and so raw. It showed us that there was more than just what we could see.”

The paranormal bombshell is just one of many surprising revelations that have made Britney’s memoir the best-selling celebrity memoir in history.

The Circus singer celebrated the news of her record-breaking book by posting an emotional post on her Instagram.

An audiobook version was also released, notably narrated by Oscar-nominated actress Michelle Williams.

The 43-year-old was praised online for her impression of Britney’s mocking of her ex Justin Timberlake trying ‘too hard’ to fit in with black musicians.
