Britney Spears has tapped Oscar-nominated actress Michelle Williams to narrate the audiobook for her upcoming memoir, The Woman in Me.
The Baby One More Time hitmaker, 41 – who recently enjoyed a ‘sushi dinner’ with J Balvin and Maluma in New York – will leave her Book expected later this month, October 24th.
In the statement for People released on Friday, the artist expressed: ‘This book is a labor of love and all the emotions that come with it.’
Spears went on to say, “Going through it all was exciting, heartbreaking and emotional, to say the least. For those reasons, I will only be reading a small portion of my audiobook.’
The star said at the time: “I’m so grateful to the amazing Michelle Williams for reading the rest,” and the Fabelmans actress, 43, also told the outlet in support of the singer: “I stand with Britney.”

Earlier this week, sources reported TMZ that Britney also recorded an audio recording of her reading the memoir – but only a small part.
Insiders also explained that the star chose not to narrate the chapters dealing with her family ‘because she found them too painful to recount in her own words.’
Originally – published by Gallery Books, an imprint of Simon & Schuster – it aimed to get Legally Blonde actress Reese Witherspoon to participate in the book’s audio recording. However, she was not ‘available’ to take the job.
Sources also told the entertainment tabloid that only celebrities are being sought as a potential narrator, adding that the official star chosen – now revealed to be Michelle Williams – has already finished filming.
The main premise is “a bold and stunningly moving story of freedom, glory, motherhood, survival, faith and hope,” according to the book’s main website.
Spears took a deep dive to open up about her early life, career, and also her 13-year conservatorship — which notably ended in November 2021.
This month, Britney took to Instagram to tease that she plans to write another memoir following the release of The Woman In Me and a $15 million book deal with Simon & Schuster.
She wrote to her fans and followers, ‘Riding and writing !!! Everything I’m doing right now … Volume 2 is coming after 1 !!! #TheWomanInMe.’

Singer Tokic has also been keeping fans and readers informed about her memoir, explaining last month that she was ‘done’ before its release.
Back in September, the source informed Page Six that Spears “doesn’t want” to do any interviews to promote The Woman In Me after claims emerged that her team didn’t feel she was ready.
However, the insider explained: “She is a single woman. She will decide. It’s her choice. She’s had offers and doesn’t want to do anything.’
The source added that the singer “has no desire” to sit for interviews because her “mental health, sexuality, parenting and body image are constantly questioned.” They weren’t fair to Britney.’
Despite the star not wanting to do any interviews or major promotion before the book hits shelves, Britney particularly enjoyed a recent trip to New York – and shared the special moments on her main Instagram page.
She linked up with fellow music superstars Maluma and J Balvin in the Big Apple on Wednesday night – but later claimed she had “no idea” who they were at the time.
Page Six reported that the singer had a late-night sushi dinner with Colombian musicians at private social club Zero Bond after arriving in the Big Apple on Wednesday.
“The boys tagged her and she and her group joined them,” the source said.

The insider added that the group was in ‘good spirits’ and that ‘Britney was all smiles and so happy to be back in New York for the first time in a while.’
During their get-together, the trio reportedly talked about music and Britney’s upcoming memoir, The Woman in Me.
A source also reported on Friday TMZ that Britney’s father, Jamie, has no intention of reading the memoir, explaining that he ‘doesn’t sweat what Britney has to say about him in her new book…’
The insider continued: “She’s already trashed him both in court and on social media, once saying she hopes to spend the rest of her life in prison. ‘
