Britney Spears’ manager slams SNL writers and Chloe Fineman for impersonating singer in latest skit: ‘You all are pathetic’

Britney Spears’ manager Cade Hudson slammed Saturday Night Live writers for calling them “pathetic” for their new skit about the singer.

The 41-year-old singer was parodied by Chloe Fineman, 35, on last night’s show, where she mimicked the star while discussing her new memoir, The Woman In Me.

Hudson responded to the parody via Instagram Page six, writing: ‘Wow. SNL’s writers are getting worse and worse. No wonder y’all contacted me to get Britney on the show… snl is on life support.”

He added: “You are all pathetic and this Chloe (Fineman) is not funny. Did you find her on Craigslist or something?”

The sketch also sees other cast members pretending to be celebrities as they audition to read the audiobook version of the star’s memoir, which was actually done by actress Michelle Williams.

Spears himself has not yet discussed the sketch.

The sketch opens with Chloe as Britney saying she is touched that her book is on the New York Times bestseller list.

She then shares that Williams wasn’t the only one who wanted to be the voice of the audiobook.

The first candidate was actress Allison Janney (played by Heidi Gardner) who, after reading her lines, wondered, “Who wrote this?”

The next star was TimothĂ©e Chalamet – who was the de facto host of the show, but was played by Chloe Troast in the sketch. Instead of reading lines, the TimothĂ©e lookalike kept repeating “yes, yes, yes” excitedly.

Meanwhile, the real Timothée, dressed as director Martin Scorsese, 80, followed suit.

Kylie Jenner’s boyfriend rocked the filmmaker’s signature black-rimmed glasses as he asked, “Who says action?” I say action? Do you say action?’

The next star to try out for the role was Jackass’ Steve-O, played by Mikey Day, who was followed by comedian John Mulaney, played by Sarah Sherman.

Meanwhile, Jada Pickett Smith (played by Ego Nwodim) plugged in her own memoir, Worthy, instead of reading from Britney’s book.

This isn’t the first time Chloe has pretended to be Britney. She previously played her on the late night variety show in 2021 and in 2022.

The sketch appeared to be inspired by Williams, whose story went viral after she impersonated Britney’s ex, Justin Timberlake, and put on an accent in an attempt to impress black musicians.

In the book, Britney accuses Justin of trying “too hard” to fit in during his time with *NSYNC.

She recounted one such incident in 1999, when they encountered R&B singer Ginuwine, prompting Justin to speak with a “blaccent” that Britney clearly felt was inauthentic.

A ‘Blaccent’ – a combination of the words ‘black’ and ‘accent’ – is when a non-black person imitates Black English, also known as African American Vernacular English (AAVE).

Speaking about the encounter with Ginuwine, she continued: “Walking towards us was a man with a huge, bling-out medallion. He was flanked by two giant guards.

‘J got all excited and said so loudly, “Oh yeah, fo shiz, fo shiz! Ginuwiiiiiiine! How you doing, homie?”‘

She continued, “After Ginuwine walked away, Felicia (Spears’ personal assistant) did an impression of J… J wasn’t even embarrassed. He just took it and looked at her like, “Okay, fuck you, Fe.”
