Britney Spears’ long-awaited memoir The Woman In Me sets October release date and reveals cover
Britney Spears’ highly anticipated memoir The Woman In Me sets its October release date and unveils a grim cover…as she will delve into her controversial conservatory ‘in her own words’
Britney Spears’ highly anticipated memoir will hit stores this fall, it was revealed Tuesday.
The memoir, titled The Woman In Me, will be available October 24. People shared.
The book will be published by Gallery Books, an imprint of Simon & Schuster, which waged a major bidding war last year to secure the rights.
Spears announced in April 2022 that she was writing a memoir, promising it would address the circumstances of her years of conservatorship while taking an unvarnished look at her relatives.
Along with the announcement comes a rendering of the front cover, which features a stark black and white photo of Spears from years earlier.

“Britney’s compelling testimony in open court shook the world, changed laws and showed her inspiring strength and courage,” Jennifer Bergstrom, Senior Vice President and Publisher of Gallery Books, told the publication. “I have no doubt that her memoir will have a similar impact — and become the publishing event of the year. We couldn’t be more proud to help her finally share her story.”
According to a Gallery Books press release, the memoir will “for the first time reveal her incredible journey(s) at the core of one of the greatest artists in pop music history.”
The publisher also claimed that the book “highlights the enduring power of music and love – and the importance of a woman telling her own story, on her own terms.”
It further describes The Woman In Me as “a courageous and amazingly moving story of freedom, fame, motherhood, survival, faith and hope.”
The book will reportedly cover not only the difficult 13-year-old conservatory, but also Spears’ rise to fame and her prime as a performer.
According to Varietythe deal for the memoir is said to be “record-breaking” and the deal is said to be worth a whopping $15 million.
Spears finished writing the book last July, but a paper shortage in the publishing industry at the time delayed the tome.

It was also reported that the memoir was delayed in May this year due to concerns from two unnamed A-list stars who wrote letters to the publisher about their possible portrayal in the book.
Spears has previously said she chose to skip interviews with high-profile figures, including Oprah Winfrey, and tell her story in her own words.
The Woman In Me is already available for pre-order at several stores via Simon & Schuster.
The hardcover edition is apparently available for $32.99 in the US, while the digital edition is currently available for pre-order for $16.99 and the audio version is $24.99.
