Britney Spears has paid lawyer Mathew Rosengart’s law firm ‘almost $6 MILLION in legal fees’
Britney Spears has earmarked millions for lawyer Mathew Rosengart’s legal counsel – the man who would help the pop singer escape from her controversial conservatory.
The 41-year-old pop star is said to have paid Rosengart’s company a whopping $4,201,856 between November 2021 and March 2023. TMZ.
Sources told the publication that “members of her team got agitated enough” and that Rosengart has now agreed to work with Spears “pro bono” — without further charges.
The skyrocketing $4 million-plus bill was mostly for work performed after the music artist’s infamous 13-year conservatory ended.
However, insiders clarified that the figure only represents a portion of what Britney paid the company, and that the total is actually closer to $6 million.

After Britney’s team confronted the lawyer about his fee, he agreed to work the rest of the case pro bono against Britney’s father Jamie Spears.
In addition to the case against Jamie, Rosengart played a major role in ending the conservatory and has provided legal services for music, her book and other matters.
Rosengart has reportedly been “critical” of fees paid to other lawyers involved with the conservatory.
According to documents filed by Rosengart, dozens of lawyers in the case earned more than $30 million combined.
Britney was worth $60 million when custody ended and is now worth much less.
Earlier this week, it was revealed that Britney’s tell-all autobiography was postponed due to concerns about her relationships with two A-list stars.
One of them would be actor Colin Farrell, with whom Britney had an affair in 2003.
The mother of two signed a $15 million deal with Simon & Schuster for the memoir in February 2022.

Sources claim the book will reveal that Farrell upset Spears when he reportedly sent her a bumper sticker that read “Honk if you’ve slept with Colin Farrell.”
Farrell — who was one of Hollywood’s brightest rising stars in the early 2000s and had a notorious “bad boy” reputation at the time — reportedly tried to make peace with Spears, admitting he was “wild” in early August.
It’s unclear if he ever admitted to sending the rumored bumper sticker.
“Britney worked through the extraordinary emotional challenges and problems of her life in the 2000s for the book,” said a source.
“Those were mostly heavy memories and challenging days to cover those experiences. But during those heady days, Britney also had many other adventures as a single woman, including that experience with Colin, the insider added.
And she likes her time with Colin to be documented and presented from her perspective. She’s been wanting to set the record straight for a long time,” the person explained.
The source added that Farrell was “the hottest young actor in Hollywood, and she was swept away by the romance of him shining on her.”

“People forget that she wasn’t that experienced with guys or the dating game back then, so when they had their fling she was surprised by how casual and disconnected he was,” the source said.
The unnamed source added that Spears was “shocked” that Farrell was “treating it all as a joke,” adding, “when the car sticker came through she was deeply annoyed and also angry.” She hated that some people made fun of her.’
The source added that “Colin later tried to make peace, trying to explain that his over the top behavior was due to his own life problems and battles with drugs and temptation. But Britney gets the last word.’
Farrell has since openly admitted his substance abuse issues, confessing to Ireland’s Late Show: “I had a high tolerance for a variety of drugs for many years.”
