Britney Spears has made amends with her “dear mama” Lynne Spears after they held a 30-minute peace talk at her Los Angeles home.
Lynne flew in from Louisiana on Wednesday in an effort to mend their family rift after years of disagreement between them because of the 13-year conservatory under which Britney lived.
The pair are believed to have been out of touch since the conservatory – overseen by Jamie Spears – was abolished in November 2021.
After Lynne was pictured waiting outside the pop star’s house, Britney broke her silence during the meeting and took to Instagram on Thursday to give fans an update.
Alongside a childhood photo of herself, Britney revealed she felt “blessed that we were able to make things right,” noting that “time heals all wounds.”

Britney wrote: ‘My dear mama showed up at my door yesterday after 3 years… it’s been so long. With family there are always things that need to be worked out…but time heals all wounds!!!
“And after being able to communicate what I’ve been holding onto for an extremely long time, I feel so blessed that we were able to try and make things RIGHT!!! I love you so much !! [sic]’
According to TMZ, the Baby One More Time hitmaker didn’t know when to expect Lynne, but knew she was in town to see her, and let her into the house – where her husband Sam Asghari was also present – to attend. to talk .
Insiders told the outlet that “the ice between mother and daughter is thawing,” and that the pair had exchanged text messages before Lynne came to visit.
The source added, “Lynne is determined to make amends with her daughter.”
The meeting comes months after Lynne apologized to her daughter for “anything and everything.”
Writing about the conservatory in October, Lynne wrote, “I’m soooo sorry for your pain! I’ve regretted it for years!
‘I love you so much and miss you! Britney, deep down you know how much I love and miss you! My apologies for anything and everything that hurt you!”

Lynne also begged the singer to unblock her so they could speak in person – prompting Britney to tell Lynne to “f***” herself.
Britney ranted on Instagram: “For 13 years I had to meet doctors weekly to bring up my past which made it worse!!! As for my entire family, including my brother, sister, cousins, aunts, uncles and damn the entire audience…were either stoned or drunk on their a****!!!
“I was the motherf****** Saint who was afraid to move or I knew my father would put me somewhere if I didn’t cooperate…even in America, the land of the free!!!! Years go by and he still puts me in a psych ward!!!! Not one mother f****** person stood up for me!!! [sic]’
After her more general rant about her family, Britney then turned her anger on Lynne.
She wrote: ‘Mom take your apologies and go fuck yourself!!! And to all the doctors for f****** with my mind…i pray you all burn in hell!!! Kiss my mom f****** a**!!!! [sic]’
Britney had previously refused to see Lynne after flying to Los Angeles in November 2021 in her first attempt at making amends.
“Britney wouldn’t even let Lynne in,” a source said Page six. “She’s furious with her. Lynne tried to visit for several days, but Britney just cut her off.”
