The chart-topping pop star celebrated her latest birthday on Monday – which she claimed on her social media to be her fifth birthday – and to mark the occasion, Britney jetted off to Mexico for a sun-soaked holiday.
But the star, who has just become legally single, then claimed she had moved to Mexico in a candid video shared to Instagram on Monday night.
A source said PEOPLE: ‘Britney treated herself to a nice holiday for her birthday.’
“She loves Mexico and can’t wait to celebrate in the sun,” the insider added.
According to the source, Britney left for Mexico ‘with friends’ on a private jet.

The pop star then revealed on Instagram that she had a “really cute” birthday cake covered in chocolate lattice and strawberries.
Her birthday festivities come on the same day she was declared legally single – seven months after finalizing her divorce from Sam Asghari. TMZ.
Britney and Sam, 30, previously tied the knot before walking down the aisle in June 2022.
The outlet reports that he left their fourteen-month marriage with “virtually nothing.”
He filed for divorce in August 2023.
The pop star previously admitted on social media that she was ‘a bit shocked’ about their split.
Britney wrote on Instagram at the time: ‘As everyone knows, Hesam and I are no longer together.
He added: ‘Six years is a long time to be with someone so I’m a little shocked but… I’m not here to explain why because it’s honestly no one’s business. But to be honest, I couldn’t bear the pain anymore.’

The pop star continued, “I would love to show my emotions and tears about how I really feel, but for some reason I’ve always had to hide my weaknesses.”
