Britney Spears calls welfare checks a ‘joke’ after authorities visited her home over a pop star who shared a video of her dancing with ‘fake’ knives: ‘I’m getting an apology’

Britney Spears has called the welfare checks a “joke” not long after authorities visited her California home after the pop singer shared an Instagram video of her dancing with knives that she has since claimed are “fake.”

The Toxic singer, 41, who shared a second clip of herself with the kitchen knives after the welfare check, uploaded a photo of a ballerina’s pointed shoes balancing on knives on stage on Saturday, alongside a lengthy caption.

‘Is it another joke in the news with welfare checks??? Come on America… we’re cooler than that, right???’ the artist began.

“The officers came to my house and said they wouldn’t leave until they talked to me, like people do four-minute performances with them,” she wrote, adamantly adding, “I’m getting an apology.”

Spears added, “I’ve been bullied in my house for so long… IT’S ENOUGH! Don’t talk about it, come on, let’s DO!!!’

Britney then wrote, “Like my mom does the silent treatment when dads ask questions about her own daughter, like I’m wrong… no, it’s an old game.”

Finally, she denounced the authorities who came to her home, typing: “People should be responsible for their actions! It’s about power for officers.’

Earlier this week, TMZ reported that the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department received a call Wednesday from an individual who “expressed concern” about the singer’s latest social media posts — including her appearance with knives.

“Out of an abundance of caution,” officers made the decision to stop by Britney’s $7.4 million mansion for a welfare check.
