Revealed: British woman thrown in Thai jail after trying to have sex on hotel glass table is mother-of-one whose UK house recently caught fire

A drunk British woman currently languishing in a Thai prison cell after allegedly trying to have sex on a glass hotel table before fighting with police officers has been named as a 42-year-old mother from Devon, MailOnline can reveal.

Mother-of-one Jude Hill, from Plymouth, who left Britain for Thailand a few months ago, is said to have straddled her partner in the lobby at 3am on Christmas morning before the piece of furniture fell apart in Pattaya, Thailand. .

She allegedly ran away with the doorman in hot pursuit before struggling with an armed officer outside the beach. Bystanders eventually helped subdue her.

Footage of the incident showed Ms Hill wearing a white mini dress hurling vile insults and swearing at locals as she marched to the station in handcuffs. Her friend had quietly slipped away.

The footage appears to show Ms Hill in a drunken state, while a person who has known her for 10 years said: ‘that’s just the way she is’.

Speaking exclusively to MailOnline, the source, who wished to remain anonymous, said they were not shocked by her arrest.

They said, ‘That video sums up everything about her. She’s sloppy, she’s crazy.

‘I last met her a few months ago, before she left for Thailand with her son.

‘Her council house recently burned down and she had to leave. I think shortly afterwards [she and her son] left for Thailand.

“But the truth is, she wasn’t very popular here.”

MailOnline understands Ms Hill arrived in Thailand with her teenage son a few months ago after her house caught fire when a car parked in the driveway was set on fire.

Accelerator was deliberately poured over an Audi Q2 before it burst into flames as it sat in the driveway of the home in Elburton, Plymouth, on September 23.

The flames spread to the house, causing significant smoke and fire damage, Devon and Cornwall Police said, which is treating the incident as arson.

Ms. Hill and the other residents of the home were evacuated without injury at the time.

Her move to Thailand also comes just three years after Ms Hill was left heartbroken when her brother was gruesomely murdered in an arranged fight.

Callum Hill, 22, died after a ‘brutal’ attack by two men on Kit Hill, a remote part of Cornwall, in March 2020.

He suffered fatal injuries after being severely beaten by the men, who arrived at the meeting with an assortment of weapons.

Andrew Hatrey, 38, from Callington and Kristian Humphries, 31, from Gunnislake denied murder but were found guilty and sentenced to life.

Hatrey was told he would serve a minimum of 26 years, while Humphries would serve 15 years.

A third man, Alexander ‘Billy’ Humphries – who is not related to Kristian Humphries – was jailed for 11 years for causing grievous bodily harm with intent after using his car as a weapon to ram the two killers.

As Ms Hill spends her second night in a Thai prison, images of the incident continue to spread on social media.

Revealing the precise moment of her arrest, the beleaguered mother of one says in the video: ‘What are you doing, oi, someone English’ before labeling the officer as ‘f****** f** s** **** C***’.

As more officers arrive to detain her, she says, “Record me, England, I’m from England, sir, hey, sir please, keep recording everything, you stupid, little, fat, chubby bastard.”

Arriving at the station, an officer is heard saying “shut up” as he leads her to a cell to sober up.

The hotel doorman, wearing a red T-shirt, is seen in the video leading her to the station, while a tall, shaved man helping her outside was a bystander.

Speaking at 2pm local time yesterday, Police Lieutenant General Ittikorn Saikratok, who is handling the case, said: ‘The British woman is still in jail this afternoon, but she is still very drunk.

‘She’s not sober yet. She makes a lot of noise all night, but no one understands what she says. She screams and is incoherent.

‘She doesn’t have any ID on her, so we don’t know her name.

‘I told her to go to sleep. When she sobers up and can speak more clearly, an interpreter comes over to help with the situation.

“We advised hotel staff to file a crime report with evidence of the damaged item and wait until the woman sobered up before initiating discussions about compensation.”

Staff at the Flipper Lodge Hotel, where the incident began, said today that Ms Hill and her partner started having sex on a sofa before one of them allegedly tried to sit on the glass table. It was overthrown and shattered.

An employee said: ‘Both foreigners were not hotel customers. They were drunk and came in while we were working, and we didn’t notice them because we thought they were our customers so we didn’t pay attention.

‘After a while they did something obscene. They tried to have sex on a glass table, causing it to break along with other property.”

The staff member continued: ‘We approached them and discovered they were not hotel customers so we ushered them out.

‘However, they refused and caused a great commotion. That’s why we took them to the police station to file a report and calm them down.

“We will have to continue to file charges because they damaged the hotel property and we have to take responsibility even though it is not a major problem.”

Pattaya on Thailand’s east coast is a two-hour drive from the main airport serving the capital Bangkok.

It is one of the country’s most popular tourist destinations, next to the capital and Phuket in the south.

It is also the most licentious, with bars and massage parlors lining most roads in the city and hundreds of thousands of young women working in the sex industry.

Thailand’s role in helping the United States in the Second Indochina War against Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia led to the region becoming a sex tourism destination for American soldiers on rest and relaxation breaks.

An FCDO spokesperson said: ‘We are aware of reports of a British national being detained in Thailand. We are available 24/7 to provide assistance to British nationals abroad.’
