British woman, 74, missing for two days, found dead in forest in popular Turkish holiday region

A British woman has been found dead in Turkey’s Antalya province two days after she was reported missing.
The 74-year-old British citizen, whose name remains unknown, was found unconscious by the side of a road in a wooded area near the Asmaca district of Antalya.
Medical teams called for help and pronounced her dead at the scene.
Turkish media reported that the woman was a resident of the popular coastal town of Alyana and had been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, but the cause of her death has not yet been determined.
An autopsy will be performed this week by coroners at the morgue of Alyana Municipality.
An FCDO spokesperson told MailOnline: ‘We have not been approached for consular assistance, but our staff are available 24/7 to support British nationals abroad.’
