British woman, 65, falls to her death in a hotel in Crete while on holiday with her husband
A British tourist who was on holiday in Greece with her husband has died in a hotel in Crete.
The 65-year-old woman was staying at the hotel in Hersonissos before the tragic incident took place.
Emergency services arrived on the scene and the traveler was admitted to Venizelio hospital in critical condition with serious injuries, according to local reports.
Medics intubated her and transferred her to the intensive care unit, where she succumbed to her injuries on Wednesday.

It comes after a British tourist died today while swimming at a holiday hotspot in Cyprus.
The 62-year-old was pulled from the water on a beach in Peyia, in the west of the island, after disappearing from view.
He was taken to shore where emergency services performed CPR on him, but the man did not survive. SigmaLive reported.
The man was then rushed to Paphos General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
