Police are searching for two men and a woman after a British tourist was robbed and sexually assaulted as she left a club in Madrid.

The trio offered to help the 39-year-old woman after seeing her “disoriented and under the influence of alcohol” in the early hours of Thursday near a disco in a square in central Madrid.

But the so-called Good Samaritans, described locally as a Spanish woman and two men of African descent, instead led her to a bench where they stole all her belongings, including cash, jewelry and her cell phone.

One of the male thieves then fled, along with his female accomplice.

The second man reportedly stayed with his victim for a short time and sexually abused her on a bench in the street. He also ran away when he realized he had been seen by a bystander.
